The coast of Hadramout witnessed this day the resumption of flights to and from the airport after the arrival of the first flights at 9 am this Friday morning, coming from the capital Aden, and heading to Socotra airport, according to the announcement of the airport flight system by the Yemeni Aviation and Meteorological Authority.
The local authority expressed its happiness at the resumption of domestic and international flights to and from Al-Rayyan International Airport in Mukalla this morning, Friday 9 April, stressing the great importance that Al-Rayyan Airport occupies as an important air gateway to the rest of the governorates and to the world, and to its importance to the general population and mainly to patients, the elderly and businessmen, indicating that the airport is not only a means of transportation, but a window for development and investment in Hadramout and the homeland.
The people of Hadramout thanked the United Arab Emirates and its charitable arm, the Emirates Red Crescent, for their great role in monitoring support and supervision, rehabilitating the airport, establishing a modern passenger terminal, and providing the airport with modern and advanced navigation and equipment.
The Yemeni Aviation Authority had previously announced the start of the operation of Al-Rayyan International Airport on the coast of Hadramout, which was rehabilitated and restored by the brothers in the United Arab Emirates through its charitable arm, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, which began to give the infrastructure in Hadramout governorate with its utmost attention and in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who gave his directives after the liberation of the coast of Hadramout to pay attention to the sectors that affect the life of the citizen in the liberated governorates, and perhaps the coast of Hadramout won the lion’s share of these efforts and continuous support.
After liberating the coast of Hadramout, the brothers in the United Arab Emirates rehabilitated and furnished Al-Rayyan International Airport, built reception and departure halls for it, and provided modern equipment with world-class standards for the benefit of travelers in the Hadramaout governorate and the neighboring governorates with these practices on the part of this government, the source of the decision is taken by the Brotherhood.
