In light of the security conditions in the governorate of Abyan and the emergence of terrorist groups’ activity in the areas of the so-called legitimate forces, the Security Belt Forces organized a solemn military parade for the anti-terrorist units of Abyan and rapid intervention and to highlight the skills that they were trained in in the intensive courses of the unit’s.
During the presentation, units of the Security Belt (Anti-Terrorism Forces) displayed their strength and combat skills to express their readiness for any security tasks entrusted to them in light of clear and continuous targeting that targeted the southern forces in Abyan Governorate, whose victims were killed several days ago by the agency’s members in an operation that he left, carried out by terrorist organizations. It is supported by the Islah militia deployed in a number of areas of Abyan Governorate, which facilitated the terrorist operations of these extremist organizations.
In the military parade, Brigadier General Abd al-Latif al-Sayed, Commander of the Security Belt Forces and Rapid Intervention, gave a speech in which he promised to avenge the blood of the martyrs of the heroes of the belt and the citizens who rose in cowardly operations for terrorist operatives in the central regions, in front of the eyes and ears of the points of legitimacy that are covering up the movements of those criminal elements. This refreshing offer in preparation for the start of clearing the areas of Abyan from terrorist elements, and this is a message for those who follow the path of these rogue groups, we assure him that the Belt Forces will reach the bottom of their homes, and it is also a message to the political leadership in the Southern Transitional Council that the Belt Forces are present and ready to fight to eliminate all terror cells in Abyan Governorate.
Al-Sayed added: From here, from the field, we express our pride in the presence of these forces, which the United Arab Emirates had the great merit after God in establishing, training and supporting the security belt in Abyan and in all the governorates of the south, and fighting with us side by side against al-Qaeda and ISIS.
The presentation was attended by Colonel Abdulrahman Al-Shanini, Deputy Commander of the Abyan Belt and Intervention team, and a number of leaders and officers of the Anti-Terrorism Brigades and the Security Belt in Abyan.
