Since that occurred UAE Red Crescent the agreement to fund the drilling of a new artesian wells in the water in Zmen’s field to the west of Mukalla in Foah area with the executing company of Sulaimani institution for drilling for that well under the direct supervision of the local Corporation of water and sanitation, even the work at a high pace and the completion of 70% of the project had been achieved.

UAE Red Crescent funding for this vital project continues to follow the progress of the project work step by step, so that the representative of the UAE Crescent in Hadramout Mr. Abdullah Almsafri who pointed out that the society is keen to complete the project on time in the specifications agreed upon, in order to alleviate the suffering of the citizens of access to water in the city of Mukalla and its suburbs.
Mr. Almsafri added that digging the new well is designed to improve the introduction of water service to the citizens in the west of Mukalla ,Foah areas, which comes after running five new water wells in the field of Flok to east of Mukalla city and the completion of all civil works and to connect them with pumps in the framework of the society’s efforts for pure water supply for citizens and within the package of infrastructure projects that are supported by it in the coastal Hadramout.
For his part, the General Director of Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation in coastal Hadramout areas, praised the cooperation of the UAE Red Crescent society that funded drilling teh new artesian well in Zmen’s field in Foah to improve the system in the region. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE government and people for their interest support service and infrastructure projects in Hadramout.

For their part, the citizens expressed their deep satisfaction with persistent hard work at the speed of completion of work and they wish to be continued at the same pace and to finish it on time or before time. They were thankful to the UAE Red Crescent to support the drilling wells project, which will contribute to cover the deficit of the water system and improve its services to meet the needs of citizens in the areas.
