The leadership of the Transitional Council, led by President Commander Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, and the delegation negotiating with him, culminated in a new phase in the history of the southern issue through the international recognition it received by the concerned countries, especially the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which sponsored the Riyadh Agreement and supervised the implementation of its provisions several months ago.
Southern activists tweeted on social media, describing what happened as the great victory of the people of the south and their struggle that began in 2007, and observers of the Yemeni issue said that the transitional council had sufficient experience to cope with any stage required by the data and events, so the council’s leadership will be able to ensure real and effective representation on the ground for representatives on the behalf of the people of the South and the decision-makers about places and positions in the legitimate government, which is required by the current stage in light of the disputes that plague the Yemeni scene.
From the Riyadh Agreement, the Southern Transitional Council obtained six ministerial portfolios, which legalized an official and effective presence in the Yemeni scene and in any upcoming negotiations related to the Yemeni crisis and negotiations with the Houthi militias,
The general citizens of the southern governorates were pleased with this new phase, which was formed by the will of the Southern Command represented by Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi.
