The UAE Red Crescent Society has been continuing its relief and humanitarian work in Hadramout to provide more food aid with its efforts to normalize life for families who experience difficult economic conditions.
In this regard, the society and under the supervision of the Supreme Committee for Relief began distributing food baskets on the number of (5327) family in Foah square (Al-Masakin and Old Foah)and complete the distribution process in Al_Masakin square with (1639) food baskets and to start the rest distribution in next morning in Old Foah square with (3688) food baskets.
The supervisor of the Red Crescent Society’s projects in Hadramout, ,Shawqi Al-Tamimi stressed that the UAE Red Crescent team and the High committee for Relief has stepped up its humanitarian efforts to cover areas not reached by food aid in the first phase. He noted down the constant distribution process of aid in areas and neighborhoods in Foah . He pointed out that the distribution process has techniques under taken by the committee to ensure the arrival of food aid to beneficiaries.
He pointed out that the distribution of these food baskets is a continuation of the program of humanitarian aid carried out by the UAE Red Crescent Society in a series of campaigns carried out in the general areas of Hadramout. In addition to access to remote areas crowded with human suffer as a part of a project (Aid The People Of Hadramout) in its second phase since released Mukalla city from the grip of Al-Qaeda in the 24th of April which the R.C.Society provided the needs of 80 thousand households by two-stag of the necessary nutrients, containing 20 kilograms of rice and 25 kilograms of sugar and the same of flour and six bottles of oil, to meet the food basket for each family needs of a medium number for a month.
For their part, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the UAE, which help alleviate the humanitarian suffering of having lost much of the necessities of life as a result of the deterioration of the economic situation and the disruption of the sources of income that secured them to earn a living.
They praised the honor for the UAE and its charity and humanity to alleviate the suffering and deprivation, which has devoted great efforts full of tender humanity and spirit that appreciates , awares and understands the value of human rights to reflect the transparency and sincerity of intentions in humanitarian work
