Last Monday the UAE Red Crescent Society launched to distribute school aid, chairs, tables, Scholastic supplies and phosphorous boards in number of Hajar schools, one of the coastal directorates of Hadhramaut.
The delegation from the society, headed by the supervisor of the Emirati Red Crescent’s projects in Hadramout, Shawqi Al-Tamimi together with the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Relief and Reconstruction Mr. Riadh Ben Taleb Al Kathiri and general director of the Hajar Directorate, Anwar El-Shadly , the director of Education office, Hassan Omar Sheikh Bajrady and a number of officials in the directorate. They had a round for a number of Hajar schools; such as November 30th school for basic education for girls and Al-Zubaidi school of primary and secondary education in Aljoal to distribute various school aids.
The campaign comes in the framework of an intensive program includes a number of schools in the coastal areas of Hadramaut to ease the burden of families in need and encourage students to strive and overcome the difficulties to continue their education and to provide possible facilities to improve the school environment.
The President of the Emirates team relief in Hadramout , Matar Al-Ketbi emphasized in a press: “UAE’s interest in improving the educational process and to contribute to its development by supporting infrastructure projects and to support by several campaigns the poor and needy families to provide their children kits so that they can continue their education.
He explained that the campaign will reach all regions and districts of Hadramout, targeting students from poor and needy families, in the framework of the UAE Red Crescent efforts to motivate students and ease the burden, especially in light of the high prices of school supplies their families.
He said that the UAE Crescent team will continue to carry out field tours around schools in the districts of Hadramout to directly oversee the distribution of bags and school supplies to the beneficiaries process.
During the distribution process the delegation recognized to the most important problems in Hajar areas, which lies west of Mukalla, the provincial capital city. Its population children live in difficult circumstances and suffering from difficult situations and despite it being regarded as agricultural directorate with more two million palm trees and the water valley are not interrupted throughout the year. However, the infrastructure services of roads, electricity, communications and other in need of repair and refurbishment and possibly to be rebuild.
For his part, the general director of Hajar, Anwar El-Shadly, expressed his happiness of the UAE Red Crescent administrators and the Supreme Committee for Relief to Hajar directorate and the launch of this project, which aims to provide a social service to ease the burden on the insolvent for needs of their children in the educational aspect and supplies. He valued at the same time their efforts in providing the infrastructure requirements for educational projects and the provision of tables and chairs for classrooms.
Eventually, he stressed the need to expedite the construction of a suspension bridge crossings line, which is the main gateway to the directorate of Hajar sprawling which it is the largest district of Hadramout and its associated with Yabath and Al-dalaia’ in Doan, as well as the province of Shabwa. This way is a vital route of the citizens of arrival and departure to and from different areas and to deliver their crops products such as their well-known various dates foremost areas of Hadramout and other provinces.
