Last Thursday the UAE Red Crescent Society launched a campaign to distribute school aid, chairs, tables, Scholastic supplies and phosphorous boards in some schools in coastal areas of Hadhramaut, in the presence of general director of the directorate general Ahmed Saeed Aljumhy and the director of education Abdulbaset Bahamid.
The campaign comes as part of an intensive program includes a number of schools in Hadramaut to ease the burden of families in need and encourage students to strive and overcome the difficulties to continue their education and to provide possible facilities to improve the school environment.
The campaign targeted Alshaheed Ba-Abad, Saad Bin Abi Waqas in Gesaia’r and Khawla Bint Al-Azores and Musab Bin Omair in Al-Raida.
During the launch ceremony, the supervisor the of the UAE Red Crescent Society’s projects Shawki al-Tamimi stressed about the United Arab Emirates interest in improving the educational process and to contribute to its development by supporting poor families to provide their children to continue their education.
He explained that the campaign will reach all regions and districts of Hadramout targeting students from poor and needy families, in the framework of the UAE Red Crescent efforts to motivate students and ease their burden, especially in light of the high prices of school supplies up on their families.
He said that the UAE’s Crescent team will continue to carry out field tours around schools in the districts of coastal areas of Hadramout to oversee the distribution of bags and school supplies to the beneficiaries process.
For his part, the general manager of Al-Raida and Gesaia’r district Ahmed Saeed Aljumhy, expressed his thanks to the efforts of the UAE Red Crescent Society at the level of aid distribution, valuing at the same time its support for the requirements of infrastructure for educational projects in the directorate.
