A delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent Authority inspected the progress of construction works in Hadramout Maternity and Childhood Hospital in the region of 40 apartments in the city of Mukalla. The Authority’s team, headed by Hamid Rashid Al Shamsi, International Aid Adviser to the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, during the visit at the level of achievement in the work of preparing the hospital funded by the United Arab Emirates, which was signed by the Authority within the signing of (8) agreements to support the health and humanitarian aspect and upgrading the level of health services in Hadramout Governorate . “Hamid Al Shamsi” affirmed the authority’s commitment to complete all development projects in the health field on time, and with the required speed, so that medical services for the people of the province, and surroundings province. Adding that the project to build and complete the finishing of Hadramout Motherhood and Childhood Hospital in the 40 apartments area of Al-Mukalla District will represent a qualitative shift in the health sector in Hadramout Governorate and will contribute to alleviating the suffering of many families, especially those who travel long distances to obtain good medical service, indicating that There will be (150) beds in the hospital that include most specialties, including women, childbirth, children, specialized and general services, and other specializations, except in internal medicine, general surgery, or specialized surgeries, pointing out that the completion of construction and finishing works will be carried out in two phases, starting from the construction phase to the enter new devices, drugs and medical solutions that will help to meet the needs of the people. It is expected that the project, whose implementation has been stalled for more than 15 years, will benefit more than 3 million people, as it comes within the framework of the continuous and supportive efforts provided by the UAE to upgrade the level of health services and support infrastructure and development projects in Hadramout.
