The UAE Red Crescent and the local authority at Al-Mokha Directorate opened on the West Coast, on Wednesday, the Al-Hikma Governmental School in the village of Hassi Salem, after completing the implementation of a rehabilitation project with Emirati financing.
The field teams of the Red Crescent field distributed the school uniform to the students in the school in conjunction with its opening.
The representative of the Emirati Red Crescent, Wissam Mohamed, explained that Al-Hikma School is the fourth school that the Authority is rehabilitating, furnishing and handing over to the local authority.
He ,said that the Emirati Red Crescent has supplied the school with a solar energy system and school benches, and has provided school uniforms to 297 students.
During the opening ceremony, the Secretary-General of the Municipal Council of Mokha Sheikh Al-Anisi Qassem Zaid said, “Today we saw the fruit of what the United Arab Emirates is providing through its humanitarian arm to the Mukha Directorate.”
He stressed the importance of continuing to support the education sector because of its importance in building the home countries, valuing in the context the efforts of the United Arab Emirates in this regard.
In turn, Director of the Office of Education in Mukha Qassem Al-Shazly, said that Emirati support returned the education sector to readiness and strengthened its performance.
In the context, the principal of Al-Hikma School Salem Yahya Saeed thanked the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, pointing out that it restored the spirit of the school after adopting its rehabilitation and furnishing.
