The United Arab Emirates has confirmedthat it will continue to fulfill its commitment to provide assistance to the Yemeni people this year.
Hind Al Otaiba, Minister of Strategic Communication at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said in a press briefing in Abu Dhabi that by continuing to provide assistance to the Yemeni people this year, the UAE is one of the most important countries providing humanitarian aid and development assistance in Yemen.
It also renewed UAE support for the diplomatic efforts of UN envoy Martin Griffiths, while continuing to reduce its military forces in Yemen.
