The Emirates Red Crescent Authority has launched a fasting breakfast in Taiz province by distributing ready-made breakfasts to residents of a number of districts in the city of Taiz. Ibrahim al-Jabri, coordinator of the UAE Red Crescent in Taiz, pointed out that the first phase aims to distribute 1000 breakfasts for fasting, within 3 days. Al-Jabri said that the launching process began with the distribution of a number of meals to the poorest families in the districts of Abdul Hadi, Mufti and Mutabiyah, in the center of the city of Taiz. He added that the inauguration of the project in Taiz is for the second year in a row to alleviate the suffering of the poorest families in the holy month of Ramadan and is part of a series of humanitarian activities offered by the United Arab Emirates to the people of Taiz. He pointed out that the Authority is keen to inspect the conditions of those in need in the besieged city of Taiz, and their sympathy in this holy month, stressing that the project will continue until the end of the holy month of Ramadan. For its part, the beneficiary families of the project thanked the UAE Red Crescent for this fraternal and humanitarian sympathy during the holy month of Ramadan.
