The UAE Red Crescent Authority has implemented a new project in the Waheja area in the West Coast, which will benefit more than 6,000 fishermen.
The project consists of a fish landing berth, two fisherman management rooms and an integrated solar energy system.
The project benefits the people of the Wahja area and neighboring areas, as a result of the return of about a thousand boats to the marina loaded with a large amount of fish up to about thirty tons a day.
This project reduces the burden of life for 40,000 people from the areas of Al-Hadba, Beirut, Bahia, Al-Qahi, Hawaja Al-Kubra, Al-Sagra and other areas. This contributes to return of fishermen to their activities and improving their economic conditions.
