The United States has reported a possible link between al-Houthi militias and al-Qaeda’s terrorist network to promote chaos in Yemen.
This was stated by the Ambassador of Washington to Yemen, Matthew Toller, who pointed to the possibility contact of al-Houthi with al-Qaeda to promote chaos to achieve his presence, as quoted by the evening on Wednesday, the official Yemeni news agency, during his meeting with the Minister of Information, Muammar al-Iryani.
“Iran is seeking to destabilize Yemen by supporting Houthi,” Toller said. The Houthis exploited the divisions to extend their control over a number of provinces. ”
He pointed out that the Houthis benefit from the divisions and are working to feed them.
In turn, the Yemeni Minister of Information asked the United States to classify Houthi militias as a terrorist group and said its crimes amounted to “genocide against innocent and innocent civilians.”
Al-Iryani pointed out that the Houthi militias fled the implementation of the Swedish agreement, because they are not convinced of the peace process, pointing out that “the delay in resolving the battle of Hodeidah gave Houthi an opportunity to strengthen its strength and arrange its ranks.”
He stressed that “the restoration of Hodeidah by legitimacy can bring Houthi to the table of real peace, the Houthi does not understand only the language of weapons,”.
