The Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC) has been carrying a convoy carrying food aid to the residents of the Ahwar district of Abyan governorate, in continuation of the humanitarian assistance provided by the UAE to the people of the liberated areas in Yemen.
Awad Abu Bakr al-Saidi, Chairman of the Planning Committee of Ahwar Directorate, expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the UAE Red Crescent team to deliver aid to the Yemeni people in all governorates. He pointed out that this relief assistance to the children of the Directorate is not the first, many convoys were sent to the Directorate And arrived to the residents and the neighboring villages.
For his part, Khalid Ibrahim, coordinator of relief organizations in Abyan province, said that the UAE provides a lot of assistance to the Yemeni people in all aspects, such as projects and relief convoys through its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent, which arrived in the mountains and plains and coasts of Abyan province carrying a banner of goodness and tenderness for the people of those areas.
The Directorate of Ahwar of the remote directorates deprived of basic services for decades because of the proliferation of terrorist groups and the absence of security services in the past years, where the Directorate is currently security and stability as a result of efforts by the forces of the security belt with the generous support of the Arab alliance countries led by Saudi Arabia.
