The implementation and rehabilitation of 18 new service and development projects in the West Coast are continuing at a high pace as part of the rapid and continuous response of the UAE Red Crescent Authority to provide citizens with a decent living and to normalize the situation in their villages, towns and districts. These projects include the construction of schools, health centers and fish markets in Hodeidah and Taiz.
The rate of completion of work in the rehabilitation projects of health centers exceeded 60%, and the percentage of completion of work in the projects of construction and rehabilitation of schools exceeded 55%, and the percentage of completion of work in the projects of marinas, fish landing and fishing markets to 50%. The contractors pointed out that the estimated percentage of work in general in 18 projects reached more than 50% on the construction side, and 65% on both sides of the rehabilitation and development of buildings, stressing that the completion of the work of implementation and processing mid-January.
The new projects, which are implemented with the full support of the UAE Red Crescent Authority, will constitute an important qualitative leap in the lives of the people of the West Coast. It is expected that some 4,000 citizens will benefit directly and some 45,000 indirectly in seven districts of the West Coast
