The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the UAE Anwar Gargash, hinted to the approval of the Houthis on their own terms to withdraw from Hodeidah and deliver its Port to the UN supervision, in exchange for a cessation of mounting military operation since four days.
Anwar gargash, said in a series tweets on Twitter: “we’re and all Yemen welcome the good news from Sana’a, and we commend the efforts of the envoy to facilitate the safe delivery of Hodeidah to the legitimate Yemeni government”.
The UAE’s official expressed appreciation to what he described as the”hard determination” Envoy of the United Nations; to persuade the Houthis to lay down their arms and engage in meaningful political discussions.
He pointed out that at the present time the people of Hodeidah want to liberate expeditiously, and that the Arab coalition would continue the military and humanity preparations to achieve this urgent goal.
It is worth noting that UN envoy Martin Griffith arrived in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, today afternoon, in a last-ditch attempt to contain the Hodeidah’s fight, and transfer UAE’s conditions and the Arab Alliance for the Houthis, in exchange for a cessation of military operations.
