The Yemeni army announced on
Monday that 250 armed houthi killed during a week in the west coast of the country.
This was stated by military sources to “September net” of the Yemeni army.
Sources said “fierce battles continue between the Army troops backed by jet fighters of Arab Alliance on one hand and houthi militias on the other in west coast front, in continuing progress of the government forces”.
According to the sources, “The battles and raids of the Arab coalition during the 7 past days, resulted in killing at least 250 an element of houthi militias”.
It added that among the dead about 20 field leaders , the site published the names of 17 of them, headed by Major General Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-ghamari, appointed as chief’s staff of the militia.
The forces of the Yemeni army managed during the battles in the west coast of capture at least 143 houthi members, according to the site.
The houthis declared before days ago killed more than 70 soldiers from the Yemeni army in an ambush for them in Hodeidah governorate, while a military commander announced that 19 soldiers were killed during the ambush referred to.
