The governor of Socotra province Ramzi Mahrawes, met the UAE relief team Abu Salim and Suleiman Shalulaha.
In the meeting, the governor welcomed the team, expressing his thanks for the efforts of the United Arab of Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the Arab Coalition on their support for the province.
Mahrawes confirmed the province has suffered from Hurricane “Macono” it need to provide more support in various areas at forefront relief and infrastructure and support in other areas .
He pointed out that the local authority in the Governorate has an integrated plan to protect the organizations that work to provide and facilitate assistance and project implementation in the province .
The Governor Mahrawes noted, he is continuing in contact and communication with all Responsible agencies and donors to support the province of Socotra, which suffer from scarcity of resources as well as the effects of the last hurricane, which caused major damage to population and buildings and loose lives.
For their part, members of the UAE relief team expressed their thanks and appreciation to the governor for his attention and good cooperation with the organizations, stressing that they will work everything they can to serve the deserving cases for assistance in the province.
