The Forcec supported by the Arab Coalition Advancing to Liberate Hdeidah’s Port

local officials said on Monday that the forces supported by the coalition advancing towards the port of Hdeidah , which is controlled by the houthis in Yemen, but it doesn’t considered an attack on the areas adjacent of populated.

The Alliance had announced last year plans to move towards Hdeidah , the second largest governorates of Yemen in terms of population, but the United Nations warned that any attack on the country’s largest port will have the effect of “catastrophic”.

Officials noted that thousands of fighters backed by the UAE scored last week advanced to the front lines south of Hdeidah in the Al-gerahi and Al-khookha located on 120 km from the port of Hdeidah on the Red Sea.

Emirates news agency (Wam) said that the troops took control of Al-haima military port north of Al-khookha which is located 80 kilometers from the port of Hdeidah , which receives most of the imports of Yemen.

A Yemeni military brigade saud;“, we can avoid entering the densely populated areas we will work on isolating the houthis cut off the supply lines”.

Brigadier General Abdel Salam al-shehhi, the commander of the Arab coalition forces in the western coast of Yemen of news agency of the Emirates said, “the resistance forces of Yemen with all types and categories involved in military operations in addition to the active participation of the Sudanese troops”.

Will be on forces task of traffic across the wide and populated areas controlled by the houthis prior to arrival to Hdeidah .

These forces include the resistance of the southern brigades, Tehama local units, the other led by the nephew of the Yemeni President, the late Ali Abdullah Saleh.

The coalition led by Saudi Arabia accused the houthis are using the Port to smuggle weapons manufactured by Iran, including missiles that are being launched on the Saudi Arabia, and Iran and the houthis negative those accusations.

After a missile attack on oil tanker of Saudi Arabia last month, officials in the United Nations, Saudi Arabia, said the international organization will be inspections of ships carrying humanitarian aid to Yemen, to ensure no smuggling of military equipment and accelerate the delivery of urgent relief supplies.

The Coalition, which is composed mainly of forces of the GCC offices along the south-west coast since his intervention in 2015 to support the Government of Yemen internationally recognized and push the houthis, who control the north of the country including the capital Sana’a, to retreat.
