The engineer Saeed Al Ali, Director of the UAE Red Crescent in Aden discussed with major general Ahmed Abdullah, Al-Turki governor of Lahij needs of the Yemeni province from humanitarian projects on the occasion of the year of Zayed 2018 which was launched by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-nahyan President of the UAE .
And the two sides discussed during the meeting of the support provided by the UAE Red Crescent – the humanitarian arm of the United Arab of Emirates – province of Lahij over the past years especially in the areas of Education, water, health and emergency humanitarian assistance .
The governor priced the support of the Emirates for the province in different areas, which included rehabilitation of the institution of water and restoration of a number of transmission lines ,and rehabilitation of 18 schools in addition to rehabilitation of a number of health facilities .
Major General Al-Turki confirmed that the local authority in the Governorate of Lahij ready to cooperate with the teams of the UAE Red Crescent which will begin its work in the province in the coming days .
It should be noted that the UAE Red Crescent ever made electric generator with a power of 10 Mega to the province, also rehabilitation of 18 schools in 2016 and 2017 and rehabilitation centres for the transfer of water tanks, and its seek during the year of Zayed 2018 to implement a number of projects in the areas of water, education and food.
