The UAE provided on Wednesday, 1.84 million (500 AED million) to support the plan of the United Nations humanitarian response in Yemen, for the year 2018, targeting to reach more than 13 million needy people in Yemen.
Emirates news agency “Wam”: said “this support comes within the efforts of the States of the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people who suffer from the consequences of the practices of the Houthi Militia”.
The coalition countries have announced to provide one and a half million US dollars to support humanitarian assistance response plan of United Nations to Yemen; the equivalent of more than half of the needs of the response plan, and provided both the UAE and Saudi Arabia alone with one million, according to the Agency.
Agency mentioned that the coalition has announced a comprehensive plan to facilitate the arrival of aid to the various regions of Yemen, through the rehabilitation of roads and ports as well as rehabilitation of ports and airports; and to increase the flow of goods and relief aid and the provision of fuel for hospitals and power stations and public buildings.
