The Emirates Red Crescent distributed food assistance to Al-khoon area residents and adjacent areas in Tarim city, continuance of the relief implemented by the UAE to help brothers in Yemen to alleviate their suffering and improve their living conditions and economic development.
The Deputy Head of UAE Red Crescent team in Hadramout, Ahmed Al- neyadi said, “this food aid comes within the framework of improving the quality of life to the population of Tarim directorate by providing humanitarian assistance to the alleged development of them”, stressing that this aid falls in the context of the efforts by UAE in the field of charitable and humanitarian work to alleviation the suffering caused by food shortages.
He added that “the campaign aims is to fill the food gap for these families that have caused by humanitarian and economic situation in the vastness of poverty and unemployment among its members”, referring that the distribution of these food commodities comes as a continuation of the humanitarian assistance programme carried out by the Commission in a series of campaigns carried out by the Pan-regions of Hadramout in addition access to remoter areas experiencing scarcity of basic needs.
The recipients of aid expressed about their happiness for the arrival of the UAE food convoys that will relieve their suffering due to the circumstances of their hard and lost their life as a result of laxity of the economic situation.
They expressed their appreciation and thanks to Emirates, which always stand on their side at all times.
