Through its humanitarian arm, the UAE has continued its relief and humanitarian work in Hadhramaut Governorate, as part of its determined efforts to end the suffering and normalize the lives of families.
In this regard, the Authority’s team distributed today 600 food baskets, weighing more than 48 tons, targeting the Ma`bar area of Al-Raida and Qusayyer District in Hadhramout Governorate, benefiting 3,000 members of the poor and needy families.
After receiving the relief items, the beneficiaries expressed their thanks and appreciation for the leadership, government and people of the United Arab Emirates.
The people of Al-Raida and Qusa’ayr district, one of the major directorates of Hadramout governorate, are suffering from extremely poor living conditions, which necessitated sending convoys of relief and directed a field team affiliated with the authority to seek their needs.
It is noteworthy that the number of food baskets, which were distributed since the beginning of the new year 2020, reached 2910 food baskets weighing 235 tons targeting 14550 members of the needy and affected families in Hadramout Governorate
