The UAE Red Crescent Authority has been carrying relief convoys for low-income families in a number of Shabwa Governorates as part of the ongoing humanitarian program carried out by the Commission in a series of humanitarian campaigns throughout Shabwa governorate, The families suffer from a very difficult humanitarian and living situation.
During the period from February 6th to 11th February, the Commission distributed 1400 food basket containing the main ingredients of food in the desert areas of Naseeb and Asilan directorates in Shabwa governorate, targeting more than 8120 poor and needy families, which included the basic needs of the necessary foodstuffs .
The food aid has helped many families, alleviating their suffering as a result of the deterioration of the country’s economy and rising food prices and community needs.
The beneficiaries of the aid convoys praised the assistance provided by the United Arab Emirates in various fields, especially the touch of the people lives directly, through the humanitarian arm of the UAE Red Crescent.
It is noteworthy that the UAE Red Crescent Authority distributed during the year of tolerance “4292” basket of food, which benefited more than “28887” persons.
