The Islamic org. For Educational, Scientific and cultural (ISESCO) has condemned the robbery attempted by the Houthi coup militia of rare historical and scientific manuscripts and books from the Zebeed City Library at the historic citadel in the city of Hudaydah province.
Dr. Abdul Aziz al-Tuwaijri, Director-General of the organization, said this act is contrary to the serious conventions and international declarations on the protection of cultural heritage and conservation of it.
Also Tuwaijri invited to intervene to force the coup militia on re-plundered from the library of Zabeed as a violation of The Hague convention on the protection of cultural property in periods of armed conflict to the criminalization of assault it.
