Continuous Emirati support for the various governorates of Yemen since the beginning of the crisis and until the moment amounted to more than 18 billion dirhams. Hodeidah governorate and its citizens have been a major part of this support, making it the second largest Yemeni governorate to receive the UAE support for the United Nations Humanitarian Response Plan 2018. Al-Hodeidah alone received more than $ 43 million.
This support provided by the brothers diversity in various fields and the relief and food aspects were the most prominent, where extended the arms of the Emirate of good about 800 thousand citizens with more than 100 thousand food basket 55 in the province of Hodeidah. The UAE also launched the first four bakeries in the Al-Hokayda Al-Khokha Directorate to provide free bread to the residents of the area.
In the water and infrastructure sector, the UAE contributed to water supply through the construction of 23 water plants in Hodeidah, as well as water reservoirs. The brothers also rehabilitated the fishing ports in order to restore the natural life in the liberated areas.
In preparation for the current school season, the UAE has supported 14 schools on the west coast where it has been provided with educational materials and solar panels.
In the health and medical field, the UAE has established mobile medical clinics in a number of areas to provide treatment and health care in many disciplines including respiratory diseases, hypertension, acute malnutrition, dengue fever and the care of pregnant women.
