Taiz Governorate celebrated this morning of the “UAE Flag Day” which on the 1st of November each year.
The ceremony was sponsored by the local authority and organized by the Youth and Sports Office and the Football Federation in the province in conjunction with the UAE celebrations of the UAE flag day.
On the occasion of the “UAE Flag Day”, a football match was held for the boys of the Taiz clubs for the Flag Day Cup. This is the first time since sports facilities have been suspended due to the war.
The establishment of these football and entertainment events in Taiz is a participation and gratitude of the people of Taiz to the United Arab Emirates Government and people on the occasion of the Day of Flag.
Professor Mohammed Al-Qodsi, President of the Football Association in Taiz Governorate, said that the importance of establishing sports championships of all kinds, and this sporting event comes on the occasion of the flag day celebrated by the United Arab Emirates in the context of harmony between the two brotherly peoples.
