The UAE Red Crescent continued in provide humanitarian and food aid by distribution a 1000 food basket in Habail Jabir in Lahij, it is the fourth relief convoy during a month by the Crescent to the province, as part of the process of responding to urgent and emergency situations, and the extraordinary week of relief, combating malnutrition launched by the crescent of the UAE on the occasion of World Food Day and ensure of relief convoy to Aden, Abyan, Al-Dhale, Taiz, the West Coast and Lahij .
Mulhim Mohamed Osman, director of directorate, praised of the UAE Red Crescent coming to the center of Habail Jabir and bring support and relief aid of about 1,000 families, adding that the city suffer from the absence and probability of all Organizations of the directorates poor and need great support and continuous from the UAE Crescent and other supporters we are need to anyone, supportive, explaining that the UAE Red Crescent remembers us every now and then thank them and appreciate the grand gesture, but this support isn’t enough , He appealed the UAE Red Crescent further support to the poor families, it’s hope in the current time, demanded the rest of the organizations to look to Habail Jabir directorate.
The sons of the city thanked this humanitarian gesture, of the UAE Red Crescent expressed their satisfaction with the outstanding Leading Role of the UAE in supporting and assisting our people and our country, especially in difficult economic circumstances we are experiencing has led to aggravate the suffering of the citizens and increase the poverty rate and the appearance of the famine.
A number of families expressed gratitude to the UAE government and people, wishing further support and assistance.
