The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met on Tuesday with U.N. Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
The developments in Yemen were discussed, as well as ways to promote efforts of the U.N. and international community in boosting the political process in line with the Gulf initiative, outputs of the comprehensive national dialogue conference and U.N. Security Council Resolution 2216.
Al-Zayani also met on Tuesday with Jordan’s Ambassador to Riyadh Jamal Al-Shamalia, on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Saudi Arabia.
