The UAE Red Crescent Authority, in the presence of representatives of the local authority, inaugurated the Al-Fateh School in Qutaba area of Al-Khokha district in Al-Hudaydah governorate.
The representative of the UAE Red Crescent Authority in the West Coast Abdullah Al-Hubaishi, said that the Authority is working according to a strategic plan and high frequency to ensure the resumption of the educational process along the length of the directorates of the West Coast liberated.
“We are delighted to open Al Fateh School today in the densely populated Qataba area so that 800 students can return to their classes, which is the ultimate goal of the UAE,” added Al Hubaishi.
He added that the coming weeks will witness the opening of eight more schools, bringing the number of educational facilities that the UAE has restored through its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent, renovated and rehabilitated and furnished to 36 facilities spread along the liberated West Coast directorates.
In turn, the Director of the Education Office in Al Khokha Directorate, Ibrahim Ajash, conveyed thanks and appreciation to the employees of the educational sector and all the people of the Directorate of the United Arab Emirates
The UAE has managed through its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent, to fill the void and remove the devastated education sector in the Directorate of Khokha and various West Coast directorates as a result of the war imposed by the Houthi militias.
In this context, the director of Al-Fateh School, Mohammed Al-Oud, confirmed that the school had been out of readiness and stopped teaching completely as a result of the war imposed by the Houthi militias, before the intervention of the UAE Red Crescent, thankfully in the restoration and rehabilitation and furnishing.
He pointed out that this is the third school that the UAE has renovated and rehabilitated in Qataba. During the opening, the students were delighted to return to school.
